Introduction to Acts

Acts 1:8 says “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” The book of Acts is that story of the men and women who took that commission seriously and began to spread the news of a risen Savior to the most remote corners of the known world.

As we follow their journeys, we will learn things that you can’t get anywhere else:

How Jesus continues His work since His death and resurrection.

We’ll see Jesus in action as the head of the church.

How people can know Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

We’ll see the practical application of Jesus’s message that God loves the world and wants everyone to be rescued from sin.

We’ll learn the orgins of the church.

We’ll learn what true Christian fellowship is like and how important it is.

Folks, let’s read and study God’s Word with an open heart, expecting God to light up our life in some surprising and enriching ways.
